How text-message opt-in works — Laslie Labs Post-Visit Follow-Up

This page shows exactly how someone agrees to receive text messages from the Laslie Labs post-visit follow-up program, and what happens if they decline. It exists so the consent experience can be reviewed without access to the application.

Text messages are optional

Agreeing to text messages is never required — not to be enrolled, not to use the platform, and not to receive calls. A number can be enrolled with the consent box left unticked. That number will then receive automated follow-up calls and no text messages at all.

The enrolment screen

  1. Authorized staff open the Laslie Labs operations console and choose Allowed numbers.
  2. The mobile number is entered. Entering it authorizes automated follow-up voice calls and requires no message consent.
  3. Below the number is a separate, unticked checkbox for text messages, shown with the full disclosure and links to this program's privacy policy and terms.
  4. The person whose number it is decides whether to tick it. Either way the Allow button works and the number is enrolled.
  5. The answer is stored with the date and the version of the wording shown. It can be withdrawn at any time by replying STOP, or by emailing sms-support@laslie-labs.com.

Optional: I agree to receive automated follow-up text messages from Laslie Labs at the number provided. Typically one message when a scheduled follow-up call is unanswered, plus replies if I respond. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Calls work whether or not I agree to texts.

Immediately beneath the checkbox the screen reads: “Optional. Leave it unticked and the number can still be called — it just won't receive follow-up texts. Your answer either way is recorded with today's date. To withdraw later, reply STOP to any message or email sms-support@laslie-labs.com.” Links to the SMS privacy policy and SMS terms appear directly below that.

What happens if the box is left unticked

Only when an automated follow-up call to that number goes unanswered:

Laslie Labs has a follow-up message for Alex. Reply 1 = call me now, 2 = pick a time. Calls come from +1 314 350 5695. Reply STOP to opt out.

Replying 1 or 2 continues the exchange — a callback straight away, or at a time the recipient names. Frequency is typically one message per unanswered call, plus replies, and never more than one unsolicited message per recipient per 24 hours.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message. It takes effect immediately, is permanent, withdraws the stored consent, and also removes the number from the calling list so no further calls are placed. STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT all work. Replying START or UNSTOP resumes text messages; it does not by itself restore phone calls.
