SMS Terms and Conditions — Laslie Labs Post-Visit Follow-Up

Effective 11 August 2026. Version 2.0.

Laslie Labs operates an automated post-visit follow-up platform for healthcare providers. After a procedure, the application places an automated voice call to check on the person's recovery. If that call is not answered, and only if that number has separately opted in to text messages, the application sends one SMS offering a call back now or at a time they choose. All messages are generated and sent by the application; no person composes or sends any message. Nothing here is medical advice.

Program summary

1. Agreeing to these terms

By opting in to receive text messages from this program, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, decline the optional text-message consent; the rest of the service is unaffected.

These terms apply to text messages only. They sit alongside our SMS Privacy Policy, which describes what information the program handles and how.

2. Text messages are optional

Text messaging is never required to use the platform or to receive calls. A mobile number is entered into the Laslie Labs operations console by authorized staff; that step enables automated voice calls and requires no message consent. Receiving text messages is a separate, optional opt-in presented as an unticked checkbox on the same screen.

Declining keeps full use of the platform and results in no text messages. The separation is enforced by the software: the messaging service refuses to send to any number without a stored consent record.

3. What the program sends

If an automated follow-up call is not answered, the application sends one text message to that number offering a choice: be called back straight away, or pick a later time. Replying continues that exchange until the request is complete.

A sample message:

Laslie Labs has a follow-up message for Alex. Reply 1 = call me now, 2 = pick a time. Calls come from +1 314 350 5695. Reply STOP to opt out.

4. Who may take part

Recipients are adults aged 18 or over with a United States mobile number, enrolled for post-visit follow-up. The software will refuse to contact any number that has not been explicitly enrolled, and will refuse to text any number without a stored message consent.

5. Cost

Laslie Labs charges nothing for this program. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan, and you are responsible for those charges. Check with your carrier if you are unsure.

6. Stopping messages

Reply STOP to any message to leave the program. The removal takes effect immediately, is permanent, and also cancels any scheduled callback and any further phone calls, not only text messages. You may receive a single confirmation of your opt-out; you will receive nothing after that.

Standard carrier keywords STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT all end messaging. Replying START or UNSTOP resumes text messages; it does not by itself restore phone calls, which requires the number to be enrolled again.

7. Getting help

Reply HELP to any message for program information, or email sms-support@laslie-labs.com. We aim to respond within two business days.

8. Carriers and delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and your device, and we cannot guarantee that any message will arrive, arrive intact, or arrive on time.

The program is supported on major US carriers, subject to those carriers' own terms and coverage. Carrier support may change without notice.

9. Not for emergencies or medical advice

This text line is not monitored. It cannot be used to reach a clinician, report a medical problem, or obtain urgent help of any kind, and nothing it sends is medical advice or a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

10. Acceptable use

Do not use this program to send unlawful, abusive, or harassing content, to impersonate anyone, to attempt to reach a number you do not own, or to interfere with the operation of the service. We may remove any number from the program at any time, for any reason, without notice.

11. Availability

This software is under active development. It may be unavailable, incomplete, or withdrawn at any time, and it is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Laslie Labs is not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the program.

12. Privacy

What the program collects, how it is used, how long it is kept, and who it is shared with are set out in our SMS Privacy Policy. In short: no mobile information is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change how the program works, we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. Continuing to take part after a change means you accept the revised terms. Material changes affecting people already enrolled will be communicated to them directly.

14. Contact us

Questions about these terms go to sms-support@laslie-labs.com, which is monitored by the operator. We do not operate a phone line or a postal address for this program.
